Course description:

This course is a part of a series of courses designed to strengthen research capability and develop research culture. The series consists of five courses, namely, STAT8006045 Statistical Analysis and Research Methodology, RSCH8088045 Pre-Thesis, ISYE8024045 Seminar 1, ISYE8025045 Seminar 2, and RSCH8011045 Thesis. The first course provides students with the theoretical aspects of scientific research and statistical analysis. In the second course, Pre-Thesis, the student should develop and present a research proposal. Seminar 1 and Seminar 2 are designed to guide students in developing the research proposal into a coherent research thesis. Seminar 1 and Seminar 2 should also provide an environment for students to discuss issues encountered during their research endeavors and facilitate them to produce scientific publications, fulfilling the requirement for acquiring a master’s degree
